The Obama re-election campaign announced yesterday that the poor economy is the reason that the President’s fund raising is not as successful as they wanted, making it harder for them to fund the grandiose Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.
Apparently, in the world of Barack Obama, only Democrats are impacted by this lousy economy. Republicans are raising significant funds for Mitt Romney, so the Republican economy seems to be doing better than the Democrat economy.
So either all the President’s men are consciously lying, or all the President’s men are delusional and need emergency professional psychiatric care. Either way, sane but lying or delusional and not able to differentiate between reality and fantasy, should we believe anything that they say?
To look at it another way, would you want to vote for a guy who is in the doldrums of an economy so weak that even his supporters can’t (or won’t) part with cash to support him?
Or would you want to vote for a guy whose supporters, in the exact same bad economy, are willing to send him piles of cash?
Maybe it’s just me (and after I die I will be tasked by Satan to be one of those imps who torments other poor souls in hell), but I’d like to watch the Obama campaign staff, especially his snarky press secretary, Jay Carney, explain that one.
I know, I know! Before you even say it, I’ll admit that it is evil…but I just know I’d be rolling on the floor laughing to hear them try to answer to that one question.
But don’t even try to tell me that you wouldn’t be laughing, too.
Jim,
I just discovered your blog and will remain a devoted follower. Thanks for expressing intelligent, articulate and patriotic sentiments. Now, more than ever, our country needs people like you to step forward and articulate their thoughts about the state of our country and the need to maintain individual liberties. The government is strangling the American value of self-reliance.
